Ritual and respect were common themes of tonights Goddess Gathering. Thank you to Maureen Riley for guiding us through a beautiful ritual to meet our fears. Through guided meditation, we created our own secret garden’s in our minds and entered into them. They could be whatever our minds wanted them to be. Once inside the garden, we met with our own personal angel who helped guide us. The skeleton represented our fears, or what was hidden inside us. Through Maureen’s guidance, we shared with the skeleton and opened up to a gift. We sealed our meditation with a chant “there is beauty above me, there is beauty all around me.” Everyone has fears; may it be fear of needles, driving, traveling,of not being accepted or of being alone. We all have obstacles to overcome, may it be of succeeding, of dealing with a specific person or life in general. At tonight’s gathering, we felt connected to each other by this common thread. Thank you for coming with an open mind willing to share and experience. Share your comments for how the night was for you. What was your gift? What was your angel’s name? How did you feel before and afterwards? What other suggestions can you offer. Thank you to our Goddess who shared-FEAR- false evidence appearing real.

Karen:
Thank you for arranging such a lovely evening. I greatly appreciate the safe environment you and Maureen created for us in order to go inside of ourselves through the guided meditation, and share our fears, thoughts, experiences and questions. I love connecting with other women of different ages, backgrounds and talents, and you provide that opportunity.
What was your gift? Maureen’s interpretation of my meditation experience which I was willing to share because I didn’t understand it. Her interpretation made perfect sense.
What was your angel’s name? Shakina, the feminine aspect of the divine.
How did you feel before and afterwards? I looked forward to the evening and decided to be open to the experience before I came. Afterwards I felt happy and content. And that positive energy has remained with me throughout the following day as I post this.
What other suggestions can you offer? I like the topics you have planned at different venues, and look forward to the next GG event in November.
Namate,
Carol

Thank you Carol for coming to the evening and for opening up your personal experience to all of us. I believe that helped others to open up as well and helped others feel safe. My gift was so funny at first. It was a tuna sandwich. I laughed inside as I thought there is no way something this profound could result in a tuna sandwich. However upon reflection, I realized that the tuna sandwich was so much more. It represents something my late Grandmother used to make for me all the times I went to visit. It was something that connected to us and I felt warmth and comfort when I saw it in my visualization. I felt calm afterwards and a feeling of her saying to me “everything is okay, you are taken care of, I am watching you.” My angel didn’t have a name like yours. She was there, again watching over me and helping me and just reminding me that she was always there. In answer to your question about how I felt before and afterwards: I usually am concerned about how all the other Goddesses are feeling and don’t always allow myself to really get into the experiences as much as I want to. I did, however, really get into this one! I let loose and went with it. My suggestions for future experiences are to continue to do as your doing; to come out, meet other Goddesses, have fun, step out of your box and try new things. Add to our list of experiences for our journey so I can bring them to this group. Tell others as you have here about your experiences and bring them along to future Gatherings. It is all a journey and I’m so glad you along with us. Enjoy and see you again soon. Thanks for sharing.
