We started the night by setting our intention for the night and by taking that moment to reflect on our favorite things. We talked more about how the favorite made us feel and how to capture that feeling in our daily lives. Using our gratitude journals, we recorded these feelings. At the end of the evening, we raffled off the items so all could share a new favorite.

Maggie Spilker reviewed her favorite thing which is goal setting. We talked about the many areas in our lives that we can set goals. One area may be weaker than another , and so it’s good to look at all and try to balance them out. We made lists of our past accomplishments , short term goals and long term goals. Looking at a goal in the future but seeing it as is, as it has happened and recording this will help to manifest this into your lives. Maggie eloquently guided us through this process while sharing some of her own personal goals and visions. All received cork boards and used various cut out images or looked through magazines to find images that related to them. The images were of what was important to you and what you wanted in your life. It may be an “object” or more of a feeling. For example, if you wanted balance and peace in your life, an image of a beach scene or ocean view may be the image for you. The beautiful boards were the backgrounds to our new goals and visions for our life. This introduction was so helpful to all to get us started to reflect on our lives for the upcoming new year. Thank you Maggie- Goddess of Goal Setting for your expertise. Look to comments for More from Maggie… If you have any questions regarding vision boards, please add to comments as well.

Thank you Debi Lilly again for sharing your gratitude boxes and your beautiful space with us. It was wonderful to sit, sip champagne, share appetizers and socialize while we learned something new. The gratitude boxes are wonderful gifts for teachers, loved ones and friends. What a creative, personal way to share your gratitude with others.
